Wow!

The picture says it all. One of two glides into the wall on Sunday after a spectacular weekend at the CINEY EXPO parking area. The drivers found the track challenging during qualification on Saturday, but the drift quality and level of car control just kept on improving until late in the evening when we saw a little "night drift" action. Ad Kamps decided to move some trees at the side of the track, with his "MERC" sustaining some superficial damage.

Once again, a great international selection with drivers from Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands, UK and Luxemburg taking part.

Sunday saw some heavy rainfall which gave us constantly changing conditions throughout the day as it dried up later in the afternoon. The start of the team drift saw Vincent Cramer "kissing" the wall with his BMW, luckily he was OK but the car will need some careful inspection and work on the front end. Some great twin-drift battles throughout the afternoon along with sideways challenge maximised the tracktime for the drivers, and kept the judges very busy and public enthralled.

Kees Kok took first position in the Twin Drift for round 1 of the 2006 BE Driftseries, followed by Olaf Commijs.
Congratulations guys!!..
